Alina Zyszkowski joins Stimson as new Director of Development

Alina Zyszkowski has joined the Stimson Center as its new Director of Development and a member of the president’s management team. Zyszkowski comes to Stimson with more than two decades of experience in international development, nonprofit leadership, and fundraising. She will be based in Stimson’s US headquarters office in Washington, DC.

“We are excited to welcome Alina to the team during an exciting period of growth at the Stimson Center,” said Stimson President and CEO Brian Finlay. “Her leadership and experience will help ensure that we can continue to invest in the research, solutions, and engagement that fueled Stimson’s global reputation for innovation and pragmatism.”

Prior to joining Stimson, Zyszkowski led nonprofit organizations and businesses in business development, partner relationship management and strategic planning. She has also held leadership and consulting roles with a range of international nonprofits including the Global Development Network, the Society for International Development-Washington, the American Red Cross, Save the Children USA, Counterpart International, and CIVICUS. She is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University and the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and also holds a master’s degree from the Catholic University of America.
