Stimson Center and Organization of Ibero-American States to Partner in Latin America

Washington, D.C. — The Stimson Center’s Latin America Program will partner with the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) to help accelerate the digital transformation in Latin America, encourage innovation, and promote regional integration.

In a new agreement, the Stimson Center and OEI, a Madrid-based multilateral institution representing 23 Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking countries across Europe, the Americas, and Africa, agreed to organize joint events and cooperate on public policy research.

“We are thrilled about this partnership,” Benjamin Gedan, Senior Fellow and Director of the Latin America Program, said. “This agreement reflects our shared commitment to strengthening democratic institutions and supporting inclusive economic growth.”

As part of this special partnership, the Stimson Center and OEI will convene experts, to strengthen dialogue between Latin America and the United States and address a range of public policy challenges.
