Latin America and the Caribbean are asserting greater agency on the global stage, shaping geopolitical outcomes through their own priorities, partnerships, and institutions. Against this backdrop and amid growing Great Power engagement in the Western Hemisphere, the Stimson Center’s body of work on Latin America and the Caribbean examines political, economic, and security trends across the region. Through new research, realtime analysis, and regional engagement, Stimson is exploring governance challenges, regional cooperation, and external influence to inform decisionmaking for increased stability, development, and democratic resilience across the region.
