There is a plaque in my office at The Stimson Center commemorating one of our namesake’s best known quotes—that the only deadly sin is cynicism. At a time when it has become all too easy to be cynical, our commitment to providing nonpartisan research and practical solutions to problems facing communities and countries around the globe is steadfast. In the face of increasing political polarization, humanitarian crises, and new security threats, Stimson’s researchers are committed to the public service of researching and developing solutions to our world’s most pressing challenges.
I’m proud of the work we do, and happy to announce the release of our 2017 Annual Report. In it, we highlight our Top 5 Impacts, ranging from improving capacity to protect our oceans, to closing supply chain loopholes and prevent WMD proliferation.
