Isaac Halaszi is a Research Assistant in the Strategic Foresight Hub at the Stimson Center. In his role, he helps Stimson programs manage their project pipelines and works for the Chief of Staff in donor relations. As Research Assistant in the Hub, he analyzes global trends related to emerging technologies, assists the Program Director in project management, and has a special interest in the responsible global governance of AI.
Before joining Stimson, Isaac interned at the International Institute of Akron and was affiliated with the Growing Democracy Project – a Northeast Ohio education-based organization. He holds a BA in Peace and Conflict Studies from Kent State University and also studied in Colombia, The Netherlands, and Rwanda. His academic research focused on international conflict resolution and community-based peacebuilding initiatives, and he presented his undergraduate research at the University of Rwanda – Peace in an Era of Crisis Conference in July 2024, and at the Imagining America 2024 National Gathering in Providence, Rhode Island.
