Key Focus
Since their emergence in the mid-20th century, peacekeeping operations have become a central tool for managing conflict and supporting fragile states. Stimson’s work on peacekeeping engages directly with international stakeholders to examine the effectiveness and evolution of international peacekeeping operations; address mandates, performance challenges, and protection responsibilities; and promote reforms that enhance operational impact and accountability.
