The Stimson Center’s Japan Program is proud to present the annual Voices from Japan: National Security Speaker Series. Each year, senior-level Japanese opinion leaders are invited to Washington, D.C. for a public symposium to discuss how Japan intends to address the various security challenges that it faces today, many of which are shared concerns with the United States. The series creates an opportunity for senior Japanese policymakers to share their views on the security relationship between the United States and Japan, and facilitates the development of relationships between the Japanese and American defense policy communities.
