Foreign Policy Interrupted features Rachel Stohl, Lovely Umayam’s Exceptional Work

in Program

Stimson Center Senior Associate Rachel Stohl and Research Analyst Lovely Umayam had their exceptional work featured by Foreign Policy Interrupted (FPI). FPI’s Interruptor series highlights women making an extraordinary impact on the most pressing foreign policy challenges of our time. Stohl’s work focuses on the international arms trade, including drones, small arms and light weapons, as well as children and armed conflict. Umayam’s work focuses on nuclear security and examines innovative ways to prevent the spread of Weapons of Mass Destruction, as well as the influence of nuclear policies and histories on culture and public perception. Read the Interruptor interview with Stohl here, and the interview with Umayam here. Stimson was named by Foreign Policy in 2015 as having the most women in policy leadership positions of any leading think tank.
