Yun Sun Cited In Focus Taiwan On U.S. Policy Towards Taiwan

Washington, Dec. 8 (CNA) Even with a change of administration in Taiwan after the 2016 presidential election, “the current conditions seem insufficient to change existing patterns of cautious U.S. policies to Taiwan,” said Professor Robert Sutter of George Washington University, at a university seminar Tuesday.

Sutter and Tung were speakers at the Dec. 8 seminar sponsored by the Sigur Center for Asian Studies at George Washington University. Other scholars attending the seminar included Emerson Niou, professor of political science at Duke University, Kharis Templeman, program manager of Stanford University’s Taiwan Democracy Program, Yun Sun (孫雲), senior associate with the East Asia Program at the Stimson Center, and Tun-jen Cheng (鄭敦仁), Class of 1935 Professor of Government at The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
