Respect for human rights and humanitarian law is fundamental to international order and legitimacy. Stimson’s work focuses on the protection of fundamental rights in both peacetime and conflict settings to examine legal frameworks, accountability mechanisms, and emerging challenges to human rights norms, and to support policies that uphold dignity, justice, and the rule of law.
