Stimson’s Japan program disseminates nuanced analyses of developments in Japan to the Washington policy community and to corporate decision-makers while also striving to assist experts and officials within the Japanese government and military to engage effectively in a changing Washington policy space. We aim to improve bilateral and multilateral communication, and to advance cooperation between the United States and Japan — and among other interested parties — in a regional and global context that addresses implications of new technologies and evolving geopolitical challenges.
