Japan’s Peacekeeping at a Crossroads: Assessing Japan’s Policy Trajectory

Join us for the launch of a new book on Japan’s peacekeeping in the postwar period. Japan’s peacekeeping policy has undergone major shifts in the past thirty years as Japan has moved towards a more proactive foreign policy. Without any Japanese peacekeeping missions since 2017, Japan’s peacekeeping policy has reached a crossroads. Japanese and U.S. experts join author Hiromi Nagata Fujishige to discuss this critical moment in Japan’s foreign policy.
