China claims it’s helping downstream Mekong countries, satellite imagery suggest China’s hurting those countries.

In a rare mano-a-mano with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi claims “China released more water from its dams than usual to mitigate the [Mekong] drought problem downstream” Sorry, Wang Yi, the satellite images suggest the Jinghong Dam has done nothing to relieve drought.
