Lucas Ruiz

Lucas was a Fall 2024 Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellow with the Reimagining U.S. Grand Strategy Program at the Stimson Center. He attended the University of Connecticut where he earned his B.A. in History. His areas of interest are U.S. global power, the role of diplomacy in American statecraft, national security, and nuclear diplomacy and deterrence theories. As a Scoville Fellow, he is working on the Reimagining U.S. Diplomacy and War in the 21st Century projects. Ruiz has been published in Responsible Statecraft and through the Stimson Center.
