Betzalel Newman is a Research Assistant with the South Asia Program at the Stimson Center, where he supports the Strategic Learning initiative and gaming portfolio. Prior to joining Stimson, he worked as a Project Assistant at the National Democratic Institute. He also interned at the Council on Foreign Relations, the Department of State, and the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism. Betzalel holds a BA in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland. His research interests include Asian development, the design of multilateral institutions, and the impact of emerging technologies on strategic stability.
