Egypt first appeared on the CSPA list in 2023 and was removed from the list in 2024. The U.S. president fully waived CSPA prohibitions against the provision of U.S. arms sales and military assistance to Egypt, allowing for the provision of more than $1.3 billion in otherwise restricted military assistance in FY2024, including $1.3 billion in Foreign Military Financing and $1.8 million in International Military Education and Training.
