Jibu Elias is an AI Ethicist, Activist, and Researcher who is widely recognized as the foremost authority on India’s AI ecosystem. With a diverse portfolio of roles, Jibu serves as the Research & Content Lead at INDIAai, a government initiative under the purview of the Government of India. In addition, he holds the position of Responsible Computing Challenge Lead (fellow) for India at Mozilla Foundation. Jibu’s impactful work centers around the construction of a unified AI ecosystem in India, with a strong emphasis on mitigating the digital divide engendered by technologies like AI.
