Jibu Elias is a leading expert in AI Policy, Ethics & Global Governance, recognized as the foremost authority on India’s AI ecosystem. With a career dedicated to shaping responsible AI frameworks, he actively works at the intersection of policy, governance, and AI safety, ensuring that AI benefits everyone, not just a select few.

Currently, Jibu leads the Responsible Computing Challenge (RCC) in India at the Mozilla Foundation, driving efforts to embed ethical AI practices in education and industry. He was one of the chief architects of INDIAai, where he served as Head of Content & Research for five years, playing a pivotal role in unifying India’s AI ecosystem.

Beyond India, Jibu’s work spans global AI governance, ethics, and risk mitigation. Jibu Elias is also a distinguished member of influential organizations, including the OECD’s Working Party on AI Governance (AIGO)- where he contributed towards updating of OECD AI principles as well as part of the Risk and Accountability Working Group. He was a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on AI, and one of the Founding Editors of Springer’s AI and Ethics Journal.
