Alexandra de La Trobe is a Nonresident Fellow in the Strategic Foresight Hub at the Stimson Center and an Honorary Research Fellow in the Computational Social Science Lab at the University of Warwick’s Department of Psychology. Her research is focused on the behavioral foundations of social norms, signaling, zero-sum thinking, and reputation dynamics. She employs a range of methods, including game theory, experimental studies, simulations, synthetic agents, and advanced quantitative machine learning techniques.
Alexandra holds a Ph.D. in Behavioral Science from the University of Warwick (UK), where she also earned an M.S. with distinction in Behavioral and Economic Sciences. She completed her undergraduate studies with a B.A. in Economic Sciences from Zeppelin University in southern Germany. During her studies, she gained experience in management consulting, with a focus on knowledge and change management, as well as business intelligence.
In addition to her academic and research roles, Alexandra works in monitoring and evaluation at the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism.
