Shakiba Mashayekhi

Shakiba Mashayekhi is a Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellow with the Protecting Civilians in Conflict Program at the Stimson Center. Prior to joining the Stimson Center, Shakiba was a researcher with Berkeley Law’s Human Rights Center working at the nexus of technology and human rights. She has contributed to investigations with partners of the Human Rights Center using open source investigative methodologies and tools on cases of potential war crimes and mass atrocities ranging from Syria to Afghanistan, Libya, and Chile, among others. Shakiba attended the University of California, Berkeley where she received her B.A. in Global Studies with a concentration on Peace and Conflict and a focus on the Middle East, and a second B.A. in Philosophy.
