Sam Parmer is a Research Associate with the China program at Stimson. His research focuses on Chinese foreign policy and China’s impact globally. Before joining Stimson, Sam worked with UNESCO to strengthen the organization’s US outreach and advance its programs in North America.
Sam holds an MA in International Affairs from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies, a certificate in Chinese and American Studies from the Hopkins-Nanjing Center, and a BA in International Relations from Brown University. His MA thesis analyzed rival state cooperation and confrontation at the UN Security Council.
