Michael Power is the United States Air Force’s National Defense Fellow at the Stimson Center. He recently completed a tour as the Chief of Readiness and Logistics in the Secretary of the Air Force Office of Legislative Liaison. His experience spans leadership positions in nuclear and conventional munitions maintenance, intercontinental ballistic missile maintenance, and nuclear logistics operations at the squadron and depot levels. His research interests include nuclear and conventional deterrence and disarmament, military talent management and organizational culture, and defense strategy. He completed his MPhil in Military Strategy at Air University, with a thesis examining Air Force organizational identity. Additionally, he earned a Master of Military Studies from Marine Corps University and a Master of Human Resource Administration from Central Michigan University. He holds a B.S. in Management from the United States Air Force Academy, where he received his commission as an Air Force Officer in 2001.
