Lt Col Jonathan (Jonny) M. Walker is the Chief, Senior Leader Management Division, Manpower, Personnel and Services Directorate (A1), Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. Lt Col Walker leads a team responsible for over 352 Air Force Global Strike Command General Officers, Senior Civilians, Colonels, and Chief Master Sergeants assignment actions, board attendance, promotion cycles and education opportunities.

Lt Col Walker commissioned in 2004 from the Reserve Officer Training Corps at Texas A&M University. He served in numerous ICBM operations positions including Instructor, Evaluator and Senior Evaluator. After graduating from the U.S. Air Force Weapons School, he served as the weapons officer in multiple units, and later served as Director of Operations for ICBM training at the U.S. Air Force Weapons School. On the Joint Staff, he worked as an Executive Assistant to the Deputy Director for Nuclear and Homeland Defense Operations. Prior to his current position, Lt Col Walker was the Commander, 741st Missile Squadron, Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota.

Lt Col Walker deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM in 2010 in the capacity of the Office-in-Charge, Nawa Border Coordination Center, FOB Joyce, Afghanistan. He has more than 260 alerts in the Minuteman III, REACT-A weapon system.
