Alex is the Chief Strategy Officer at Edge, an innovative firm specializing in hydrogen-based energy, aerial endurance, and advanced communication solutions designed for demanding environments.
Following his MS in Homeland Security, Alex joined the U.S. Army, supporting national security operations. He subsequently worked with the Office of National Drug Control Policy under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, contributing to strategic initiatives focused on counter-drug efforts and regional stability in Latin America.
Leveraging this experience, Alex co-founded Infinitum Humanitarian Systems (IHS), collaborating with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to establish the Worldwide Human Geography Data Working Group, significantly enhancing global geospatial intelligence capabilities. He also partnered with the Roddenberry Foundation to create their Disaster Response Team, developing an innovative water purification system deployed successfully to numerous international humanitarian crises.
At IHS, Alex also helped create the Kwajalein Atoll Sustainability Laboratory (KASL), in collaboration with the Office of Naval Research (ONR). This initiative addresses climate adaptation, sustainability, and strategic environmental challenges in the Marshall Islands, establishing a successful model for integrating defense, environmental resilience, and humanitarian objectives.
Currently at Edge, Alex continues to drive strategic growth and innovation in defense technology, tactical communications, electronic warfare, and drone operations. He recently completed Harvard Kennedy School’s Emerging Technology program, further solidifying his role as a leader at the intersection of emerging technology, national security, and humanitarian response.
Alex also serves as adjunct faculty in the Graduate program in Homeland Security at San Diego State University.
