Aditi Sharma is a Research Associate with the 38 North program at the Stimson Center, focusing primarily on the usage of satellite imagery as a monitoring tool for developments in North Korea’s weapons programs, and contributing to 38 North’s geospatial products. Aditi comes from a multidisciplinary background, using quantitative spatial analysis as a lens for policy considerations. Prior to joining the Stimson Center, she interned in the Geospatial Information Section of the UN Cartographic Unit, and previously interned in the NASA DEVELOP program.
Aditi holds a BA from the University of Miami in Ecosystem Science and Policy, International Studies, and Geography. She studied Geomatics at Lund University, spending 3 years living in Malmö, Sweden. In addition to her GIS background, Aditi has also worked as an urban planner and designer.
