Stimson Center recently launched the Natural Security Forum, an initiative out of the Partnership in Security and Development program. The event featured retired Admiral James Stavridis on the growing challenge of “Natural Security” — U.S. national and global security implications of environmental crime, including illegal fishing, logging, mining, and wildlife trafficking. To manage these evolving natural security challenges we need to expand the toolkit, resources, and stakeholders involved.
