Taking the Summit of the Future Agenda Forward: Facilitating Implementation through Dialogue, Research & Monitoring

An UNGA High-Level Roundtable on “Taking the Summit of the Future (SOTF) Agenda Forward” will offer a summary of key findings and recommendations with the goal of raising awareness in capitals worldwide for investing in SOTF implementation.

On 26 September 2024, the Stimson Center, Global Governance Innovation Network, Savannah Centre, Plataforma CIPÓ, and Global Challenges Foundation will convene an UNGA High-Level Roundtable on “Taking the Summit of the Future Agenda Forward”. Bringing together senior government representatives, former statespersons, UN officials, and leading scholars, this 60-minute session will consider the role of:

(1) Track 1.5 policy dialogues;

(2) policy research products from leading scholars worldwide;

(3) rigorous Summit of the Future (SOTF) monitoring in supporting champion governments and twenty multi-stakeholder ImPact Coalitions on SOTF Actions & Commitments follow-through.

A brief non-attribution summary of key findings and recommendations will follow from the roundtable and be widely distributed, with the goal of raising-awareness in capitals worldwide for investing in SOTF implementation.
