 Event

A one-on-one conversation with Ambassador Bonnie Denise Jenkins, Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security, U.S. Department of State on how international security and the SDGs can be mutually reinforcing.

Full opening remarks from Ambassador Bonnie Jenkins here.

Seven years out from the 2030 deadline set by the United Nations, global progress to meet the Sustainable Development Goals has been slow. As we mark the halfway point toward the 2030 targets, ambitious action is needed from nations to meet these global goals.

Against the backdrop of international conflict and instability, an October 5 event hosted by the Stimson Center will examine how efforts in international security strengthen SDG global targets against vulnerability, increase resilience, and foster greater cooperation between countries.

Join us on Thursday, October 5 at 10 am ET as Ambassador Bonnie Jenkins visits the Stimson Center office in Washington, D.C. for an event exploring how international security and the Sustainable Development Goals can be mutually reinforcing, and where the United States can drive progress on these interconnected issues.
