Mr Grossi is a diplomat with over 35 years of experience in the field of non-proliferation and disarmament. He assumed office as Director General in December of 2019. He has previously served as Ambassador of Argentina to Austria and Argentine Representative to the IAEA and other Vienna-based International Organizations, President Designate of the 2020 NPT Review Conference, and twice President of the Nuclear Suppliers Group, as well as numerous senior roles at the IAEA, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, and in the Argentine Foreign Service.
