Ramaswamy
R. Iyer was Secretary for Water Resources in the Government of India,
in which capacity he initiated and was principal draftsman of India’s
first National Water Policy in 1987. He is now Honorary Research
Professor at the Center for Policy Research in New Delhi and a Member of
the UN Secretary General’s Advisory Board High Level Committee on Water
and Disaster.
