Exploring research questions and ongoing projects for further engagement on atrocity prevention.

In keeping with our regular practice, this annual meeting will proceed in two parts: First, former U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Criminal Justice Beth Van Schaack, former Special Advisor to the United Nations Secretary-General and current professor Jennifer Welsh, and Dr. Emily Sample, Alliance for Peacebuilding’s Director of Research, Evidence, & Learning, will offer some thoughts on current gaps. Next, we will hear brief presentations from those that have volunteered to share the research projects in which you or your institutions are currently or engaged or have planned over the next twelve months. This is a chance for researchers to describe the key question(s) they hope to answer; the challenges they anticipate or are experiencing; implications for and potential overlaps with other related disciplines; and opportunities for future collaboration.
