Emily Tallo is a Research Assistant with the South Asia Program at the Stimson Center. Her research interests include political violence and civil unrest in Jammu and Kashmir, South Asian geopolitics, Indian foreign policy, counterterrorism, and counterinsurgency. She holds a B.S. in International Studies from the Indiana University School of Global and International Studies, where she authored two undergraduate theses on Indian policy towards Kashmir. Previously, she was an intern with Stimson Center’s South Asia Program and the Ananta Aspen Centre in New Delhi. Her analysis has been published in The Diplomat and The Wire.
