Asma Khalid

Asma Khalid is a South Asian Voices Visiting Fellow in the 2020 cohort. Her research interests include South Asian strategic issues, including nuclear nonproliferation, deterrence dynamics, nuclear politics and policies, and nuclear safety and security. Her analysis of these issues has featured in national and international publication platforms. Previously, she was associated with Islamabad Policy Institute (2019-2020) and Strategic Vision Institute in Islamabad (2016-18). She was also a Research Fellow at the Senate of Pakistan (2016). She holds an MPhil degree in International Relations from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, and B.Sc. in Defense and Diplomatic Studies from Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi.
