WHAT: The Stimson Center convened a luncheon conversation on nuclear learning with Amandeep Gill, Indian Joint Secretary for Disarmament and International Security Affairs with Michael Krepon and Sameer Lalwani serving as hosts and moderators. 

Amandeep Singh Gill has served in the Indian Ministry of External Affairs as Joint Secretary for Disarmament and International Security Affairs since 2013. Since joining the Indian Foreign Service in 1992, Gill has also served in the Indian Mission to the United Nations in Geneva, the Indian Embassy in Tehran, and the High Commission of India in Colombo. On October 15, 2016 he was appointed as the next Ambassador/Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations Conference on Disarmament, Geneva. Somehow, he has found the time to complete his Doctor of Philosophy at the Centre for Science and Security Studies, Department of War Studies, King’s College, London. His dissertation topic served as the basis for his luncheon talk.
