Shafaq Khan

Shafaq Khan is a Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellow at the Stimson Center’s South Asia Program. Shafaq’s research interests lie at the nexus of nuclear crisis management, securitized regimes and diplomacy, and international order.

Prior to joining Stimson, Shafaq worked as a research analyst for a nonprofit in New York City, collaborating closely with the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice. She has also held roles at the Centre for Information Resilience, the U.S. House of Representatives, and the Legal Aid Society.

Shafaq received her A.B. from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs. She wrote her senior thesis on the abrogation of Article 370 and its implications for Kashmir.
