Sarah L. Stimson Karis

Sarah is an experienced advisor, consultant and business  developer, with a particular focus on creating collaborations between people, corporations and non-profit organizations. Earlier, she was a marketing, advertising and public relations professional in the art, fashion, film and television industries, as well as an advocate, spokesperson and brand ambassador for companies and philanthropic groups.

Sarah connected  with the Stimson Center in 2004. A few years ago, and after moving to the East Coast, she was appointed a Stimson Center Advisor. In 2020, Sarah joined the Board of Counselors of the Stimson project ACRE (Alliance for a Climate Resilient Earth), and she was instrumental in establishing the partnership with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. Sarah also serves as Chairperson of the Stimson Center Diplomatic Council on Climate Resilience (DCCR).

Sarah has a B.A. with honors in Art History and French from Hollins University. She is multilingual: speaks and writes French fluently, and is conversant in Italian, Spanish and German.

A long-term Californian, Sarah previously lived in NYC, Europe and Australia, and now resides in south Florida. She is married and has two stepsons.
