Radia Funna is an internationally recognized theorist, whose xHuman theory explores the impact of frontier technology on institutions and societal structures. As the founder and principal at the consulting firm Build n Blaze, she advises public and private sector organizations on strategy, technology, and innovation. Ms. Funna has taken on various leadership roles as part of this work, including her current membership in the International Telecommunication Union’s (ITU) first Focus Group on metaverse, where she serves as Vice Chair of the Working Group on Security, Data, and Protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Chair of the Task Group on Building Confidence and Security in the metaverse. She is an informal advisor to the United Nations and an advocate of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
