Norman E. Taplin, Esq

Norman Taplin is a financial services, regulatory and public policy attorney, with substantial federal and state level experience across banking, insurance, financial technologies, rideshare transportation, pharmaceuticals, and mergers & acquisitions. He has served as advisor to federal and state officials since 1969, including former Secretary of State Alexander Haig, former Ambassador to the United Nations, Secretary of Energy and New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, as well as a number of former and current governors, congressmen, and senators. Norman was a political reporter for Channel 4 WTVJ and CBS in Miami from 1970 – 1972. He served as a campaign manager for the State of Florida candidates beginning in 1967 including gubernatorial and senate races in 1970, 1976, 1990, 2000, and continues such activities currently.

Norman is the CEO and founder of NTG Consultants (NTG) which has a presence in over 35 jurisdictions and includes former Congressman Barry M. Goldwater, Jr (currently serves as chairman emeritus) and Al Cardenas former Chair of the Florida Republican Party (currently serves as chairman). Norman is the founder and CEO of Taplin & Associates and The Goldwater Taplin Group (GTG), which is an affiliate of NTG. Norman and GTG were founders of State Alliance for Balanced Insurance Regulation. Norman and NTG were founders of American Association of Ancillary Benefits (AAAB). Norman served on the board of the National Association of Life Companies. Norman serves on the Georgia Hurricane Mitigation Board.

Norman was the founder and chairman of Governor’s Bank in Palm Beach County and founder and initial director of First Community Bank.

Norman is on the board of directors of Taplin Construction Company, which develops significant housing projects throughout South Florida, as well as shopping centers and commercial properties. Norman served as a consultant to the Durham City Planning Council. Norman sits on the board of TBO and serves as advisor to numerous financial services entities. Norman serves on the National Cabinet of Israel Bonds and is a past Chairman of Palm Beach County Community State of Israel Bonds. Norman served as President of Temple Emanu-El in Palm Beach for 8 years and is currently the Vice President of Temple Beth-El in West Palm Beach. Norman has served on the Boards of

Trustees of numerous charitable organizations and was the Chairman of the Realtor/Attorney Committee in Palm Beach County.

Norman is a graduate of Duke University School of Law and a member of the Florida Bar, American Bar Association, and Palm Beach County Bar Association, as well as being licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States.CEO of NTG Consultants.
