Jean Garcia Periche is the President of the Center for Public Intelligence (CPI), a research lab with the mission of creating a new system of government through public AI. He is also the CEO of Equality AI, an ecosystem builder focused on inclusive talent development and enterprise AI for industry.
He is a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, and a Visitor of Practice at the Oxford Institute for Ethics in AI.
Previously, he co-founded GENIA Latinoamérica, a pioneering regional platform with the mission of including Latin America into the global development of Artificial Intelligence. Jean was also a member of the U.S. Department of State and Atlantic Council’s AI Connect Network, and a Global Ambassador for the EU AI4Gov Network.
He is a Fellow of Singularity University at NASA Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, a member of the Global AI Ethics Institute, sits on the Global Advisory Board of the International Group of Artificial Intelligence, and is a former AI Policy Affiliate at The Future Society.
Previously, Jean served as a Global Strategist and Movement Builder at CULTU.RE, a platform for decentralized self-sovereign identities, working alongside crypto and blockchain pioneer Toni Lane Casserly, founder of CoinTelegraph.
