Evanna Hu

Evanna Hu is the CEO of Omelas, an AI company that maps the digital information environment, and a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security, where her work focuses on the intersection of emerging technologies and national security. She has written and implemented AI Ethics principles, federal procurement guidelines on AI, and secure digital infrastructure stacks, from critical minerals to 5G and LEOs, in multiple countries.

Her background is in the use of technology in countering violent extremism and counter-terrorism, having lived and worked in the Middle East and Africa for 6+ year. A graduate of the University of Chicago, she is also an Aspen Institute Fellow (Civil Society) and a member of the Loomis Council, Stimson Center. Her work has been featured in multiple publications and won multiple accolades.
