Evanna Hu is the CEO of Omelas, an AI company that detects digital influence operations. She is also a Senior Advisor at the International Republican Institute, a nonprofit that advances democracy, by countering digital authoritarianism, and a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security, where she focuses on policies on emerging technologies. Prior to Omelas, Evanna spent most of her professional career in the Middle East and Africa, countering the propaganda and recruitment efforts of salafi-jihadist and Neo-Nazi groups in the digital operating environment. A graduate of the University of Chicago, Evanna also sits on the board of multiple nonprofits that maximize people’s ability to achieve their potential.
