Can Büyükberber

Responsible AI Fellow

Can Büyükberber is a visionary artist whose work fuses art and technology to explore the boundaries of human perception. Through generative AI, immersive installations, digital sculptures, and spatial computing, he creates cinematic, futuristic experiences that blur the lines between the physical and digital realms. His interdisciplinary approach draws from art, design, and science, pushing the frontiers of non-linear storytelling and emergent forms, shaping a new era of immersive digital artistry. With a background in Physics and Design, Can Büyükberber earned his master’s degree in art & technology from the San Francisco Art Institute as a Fulbright Scholar.

He has been selected for prestigious residencies, including Autodesk’s Pier 9 and Adobe’s AR Artist Residency. His immersive audiovisual works have been showcased worldwide in museums, galleries, and media art festivals such as ZKM Karlsruhe, Ars Electronica Linz, SAT Montreal, Sonar+D Barcelona, and California Academy of Sciences. Notable exhibitions also include the Exploratorium, Dolby Gallery San Francisco, Akbank Sanat Istanbul, Art Futura Rome, MUTEK.JP Tokyo, BFI Film Festival London, Art Basel Miami, Art Dubai Digital and ZeroSpace New York City. His collaborations span Grammy-winning rock band Tool, Shigeto, the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, and major global brands such as Apple, BMW, Dolby Labs, Hennessy, and UNESCO IOC.
