Azizjon Azimi

Azizjon Azimi is the founder and CEO of zypl.ai, a SaaS startup pioneering application of synthetic data to generate macro-resilient machine learning models for credit tailoring. zypl.ai recently raised $1.7 million in an oversubscribed pre-seed round and has successfully scaled its software to 6 markets across the Middle East and Central Asia. Azizjon is also a founding chair of the Artificial Intelligence Council under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan. In this role, he spearheaded the passage of Tajikistan’s national AI strategy – the first in Central Asia – and is leading the strategy’s implementation in collaboration with public, private, nonprofit and international stakeholders. Prior to launching zypl.ai, Azizjon founded tajrupt – an educational nonprofit transforming youth potential into human capital in his home country of Tajikistan. Azizjon graduated with a Master’s in Business Administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business as a Knight-Hennessy Scholar and a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School as an Aga Khan International Scholar. He had previously graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts and double honors in economics and international relations from New York University. Azizjon has been featured in Forbes “30 Under 30” Asia in category of leading social entrepreneurs and was one of the winners of Islamic Development Bank’s Transform Fund competition.
