Arief Karfianto

Arief Karfianto is a solution architect, business analyst, system administrator, and developer at the Secretariat of the Executive Office of the President, Indonesian Ministry of State Secretariat. He has been working for the Indonesian Government since 2009, primarily in the Information and Communication Technology field. Arief has contributed to various nationwide digital services, including the Indonesia Open Data Portal, National Complaint Handling System, and Monitoring and Evaluation System. Currently, his responsibilities include conducting studies and formulating policy recommendations, with a specific focus on innovation, digital transformation, IT governance, and cybersecurity. Arief is starting to evaluate the impact of emerging technologies on society and exploring how AI can assist decision-makers and policymakers in delivering improved public services and tackling critical challenges.

Arief possesses a strong passion for emerging technology, IT strategic planning, IT security, DevOps, open-source software, and system development. He has acquired IT certifications, including the Linux Professional Institute Certification, Certified Data Center Professional, Certified Data Center Facilities Operations Manager, Certified Security Analyst, and Certified Secure Programmer. Arief completed his Master of Information Communication and Technology Advanced from the School of Computing and Information Technology, University of Wollongong, Australia. During his time in Australia, Arief worked as a casual tutor for Web Technology at the University and actively contributed to the IT Division of the Indonesian Student Association in Australia (PPIA). Additionally, he holds a Master of Management from the National Development University Veteran and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Cryptographic Engineering from the National Institute of Cryptology, Indonesia.
