Dr. Robert Nelson, Senior
Scientist, Union of Concerned Scientists, Global Security Program, will
join us to discuss the Department of Energy’s plans to design and build
a new family of nuclear warheads under the Reliable Replacement Warhead
(RRW) program. He will discuss whether the RRW program is needed,
review the reliability of the current U.S. nuclear arsenal, and propose
options for the future of the U.S. nuclear arsenal. He will discuss
current U.S. nuclear policy, including targeting issues.
