CDR Benjamin Massengale, native of Fredericksburg TX, graduated in 2009 from Texas A&M University at Galveston with a bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering Technology and was commissioned through the NROTC Program. He graduated from the Naval War College in 2022 with a Master in Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies.
Prior to arriving at the Stimson Center, CDR Massengale was the Executive Officer for Moored Training Ship 635 undergoing inactivation at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth VA which was completed in May 2024.
CDR Massengale was assigned to the South Asia Program at Stimson and assists with developing the curriculum for Stimson Center’s Strategic Learning initiative.
