Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin Poole

Lt Col Benjamin Poole is a former Air Force Visiting Fellow at The Stimson Center located at Washington, D.C. Before his fellowship, he was the Director of the Joint Global Strike Operations Center at Barksdale AFB, LA.

Lt. Col. Poole entered the Air Force in 2003 as a graduate of the University of South Carolina and earned his commission through Officer Training School. His assignments include serving as a navigator, radar navigator, instructor weapons systems officer, weapons officer, and aide to the Commander of Eighth Air Force. He also served as Wing Weapons Officer of the 2nd Bomb Wing, Assistant Director of Operations at the 340th Weapons Squadron, Director of Plans and Programs for the 2nd Bomb Wing, Director of Operations for the 96th Bomb Squadron at Barksdale AFB, LA. and was the Commander, 20th Bomb Squadron, 2nd Operations Group, 2nd Bomb Wing, Barksdale AFB, LA.
