William Alberque has just about thirty years of experience in the US Government, NATO, and the non-governmental community on issues related to nuclear weapons and arms control. He has developed policy, led diplomatic negotiations, and overseen the implementation of international treaties and national security programs, and worked on topics such as extended deterrence guarantees, nuclear sharing, risk reduction, outer space security, missile defence, small arms & light weapons, chemical-biological defence, nuclear material security, and gender mainstreaming in security policy. An experienced leader, writer, and public speaker, William has addressed the UN, EU, OSCE, NATO, news media, and national parliaments, and published dozens of papers, reports, and analyses, including op-ed pieces in major newspapers and magazines around the world.
