Suzanne DiMaggio, Senior Fellow, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace
Suzanne DiMaggio is a Senior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, where she focuses on US foreign policy toward Asia and the Middle East. She is one of the foremost experts and practitioners of diplomatic dialogues with countries that have limited or no official relations with the US, especially North Korea and Iran.
Dr. Jihwan Hwang, Professor, University of Seoul
Dr. Jihwan Hwang is a professor of International Relations at the University of Seoul. He was a visiting scholar at the Catholic University of America and taught inter-Korean relations at George Washington University. Dr. Hwang has served in several Korean government advisory positions, including the Presidential Commission on Policy Planning, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Unification.
Dr. Jungsup Kim, Senior Research Fellow, Sejong Institute
Dr. Jungsup Kim is a senior research fellow at the Sejong Institute. Dr. Kim served as a civil servant at the ROK Ministry of National Defense for 27 years, holding various positions such as director for defense budget, military organization, and international policy. He also served on the National Security Council for four years. Most recently, he was deputy minister for Planning and Coordination at the Ministry of National Defense.
Jenny Town, Fellow, Stimson Center and Deputy Director, 38 North
Jenny Town is a Stimson Fellow and the Deputy Director of Stimson’s 38 North Program. She was named one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business in 2019 for her role in co-founding and managing the 38 North website, which provides policy and technical analysis on North Korea.

Joel S. Wit is a Stimson Senior Fellow and Director of 38 North. As a US State Department official, he helped negotiate the 1994 US-DPRK Agreed Framework and was in charge of its implementation until he left government in 2002, holding countless talks with DPRK officials in the military and nuclear establishments.
