Federica D’Alessandra and Gwendolyn Whidden of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government’s Institute for Ethics, Law, and Armed Conflict joined the December 2023 APSG meeting to share insights from their recent issue brief, “Whither Atrocity Prevention at the UN? Look Beyond R2P and the Security Council,” which considers how UN bodies outside Security Council have continued to make substantive — if overlooked — contributions to atrocity prevention objectives.
