Discussing recent progress made and additional steps that can be taken to enhance public understanding of the global arms trade.

All too often, international arms transfers are shrouded in secrecy, undermining efforts to promote responsibility, minimize risks, and build confidence among countries involved in the global arms trade. Join the Stimson Center and the ATT Monitor for an expert discussion of the progress made to advance arms trade transparency during this year’s Eighth Conference of States Parties to the ATT as well as the steps that governments, civil society, and other stakeholders can take to further enhance public understanding of the international arms trade in the years to come.
