In light of declining reporting rates and uneven reporting practices, the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) is not living up to its potential as a tool for promoting arms trade transparency. Join the Stimson Center and the ATT Monitor for a discussion of ATT reporting trends and challenges as well as steps that can be taken to promote more comprehensive and transparent reporting in 2022. The event will feature remarks from the new co-chairs of the ATT’s Working Group on Transparency and Reporting on their priorities and plans for the CSP8 cycles.

The event will also launch two new Stimson reports, Taking Stock of ATT Initial Reports and Taking Stock of ATT Annual Reports as well as key findings of ATT Monitor research on reporting gaps and challenges.
